Ninh Binh Tour 1 day: Hoa Lu - Tam Coc full day tour

Located in Ninh Binh province 100 km southeast of Hanoi, Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are two of the most picturesque spots in all of the north. For 41 years, from 968 to 1009 CE, Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Vietnam. Nearby Tam Coc is often referred to as “Ha Long among the rice paddies.” Visitors are conveyed by rowboat along the peaceful Tam Coc stream past green fields and the feet of mountains into the mouths of caves, where they encounter new surprises, like stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer like gemstones just inches from the water.

07h30 – 8h00: Our driver and tour guide will pick up you from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter for the limousine transfer to Ninh Binh. 

09h15: The limousine stops on the way for a 15 – 20 minutes short break for you to stretch your legs, use the facilities or have a quick snack. 

10h30: The limousine arrives in Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from years 968 to 1010. Then you will visit the Temple of King Dinh and King Le and learn more about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le and Ly Dynasties.

11h45: It is time for a buffet lunch to enjoy local specialties in the private area of our Ninh Binh Heritage restaurant. The vegetarian option is also available.

13h00: The limousine arrives in Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land”, where you can spend 1.5 hours on the boat to explore this area. On this excursion down the Ngo Dong River, you will pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formation, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba for an unforgettable experience. 

14h30: It’s time you get on the bicycle to ride around the local village and discover how amazing life of the local people here.

15h30: Hop on our limousine and leaves Ninh Binh for Hanoi.

17h30 - 18h00: The limousine drops you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter
